Some are creepy, some kinda funny in an odd kind of way, others plain weird, and a few are even a little disturbing. No, we’re not talking about the randos from your next CS2 matchmaking—horror-themed skins are our topic today. From beasts and monsters to skulls and spirits, CS2 skins feature tons of horror-style elements. So, why not build a full horror inventory? Here are the best horror skins in CS2!
Pistols: Horror CS2 Skins
Inject some fear factor into your pistol rounds with these horror-themed skins:
CZ75-Auto | Circaetus

Price: $0.10–$0.60
Featuring a bird of prey carrying an (understandably) angry snake, Circaetus has the color scheme and vibe of a horror skin. It’s not the scariest skin out there, but it works well enough. The snake’s eyes and fangs are pretty creepy, and bring Halloween pumpkins to mind.
Oh, and the word “Circaetus” may sound like part of a spell… but it actually refers to a type of medium-sized snake-eating eagles.

Desert Eagle | Hand Cannon

Price: $530–$970
When it comes to Desert Eagle skins, you could say the scariest thing is the price. Hand Cannon is no exception, starting at over $500 and reaching nearly $1000.
It’s the closest thing you’ll find to a horror-themed Deagle skin, with its corroded look that reminds us of somewhere abandoned and creepy. It’s also part of our post-apocalyptic CS2 skins list, by the way.
Open cases with Desert Eagle | Hand Cannon
Dual Berettas | Hideout

Price: $0.10–$0.40
Also not the most overtly horror-themed skin, but definitely creepy enough to make the list (and the only horror-esque option for the Dualies). The muted color scheme, along with the teeth visible on the grip, make for a dark, suspenseful atmosphere.
Open cases with Dual Berettas | Hideout
Five-SeveN | Hyper Beast

Price: $28–$140
Now we’re talking! Here’s the first Hyper Beast of several mentioned in this post, since this series matches our theme perfectly. From the aggressively vibrant colors to the teeth and the tongue that makes up the trigger, we love everything about this one.
Open cases with Five-SeveN | Hyper Beast
Glock-18 | Catacombs

Price: $0.30–$1.30
From the name to the skulls on the slide, everything about this Glock skin is creepy enough to qualify it for our horror inventory. Color-wise, it’s more muted than the other skins we’ve seen so far, but the grayscale works very well with this design.
Open cases with Glock-18 | Catacombs
P2000 | Lifted Spirits

Price: $0.15
Another skin with a very limited color palette, this may be one of the creepiest CS2 skins out there, despite its simplicity. The design shows figures being lifted up into the sky from a dark forest. Above the grip, there are several tally marks. Mysterious, creepy, and very Stephen King.
Open cases with P2000 | Lifted Spirits
P250 | Nevermore

Price: $0.80–$1.80
Now for something more colorful: Nevermore, in reds and oranges, shows screeching skeletal birds. The name Nevermore is a reference to a famous poem, The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe, AKA the grandfather of horror literature. As befits a horror author, Poe died in mysterious circumstances—mysterious enough that to this day, theories of his cause of death range from murder to… rabies.
Anyway, the number and position of the birds on this skin depends on the pattern number. In general, patterns that include a whole bird on the side of the gun are more popular, though there’s no special “rare” pattern to look for.
Open cases with P250 | Nevermore
R8 Revolver | Bone Forged

Price: $0.08–$0.50
Somewhere between survival horror and the post-apocalyptic style you’ll find Bone Forged, with rusted metal and a hand-painted grip. The pattern on the grip appears random at first, but upon closer inspection, you’ll notice what looks like an eye socket and teeth (near the trigger). The original name of this skin is Leviathan, suggesting that the skull in the design belongs to a mythical sea serpent.
Open cases with R8 Revolver | Bone Forged
Tec-9 | Mummy’s Rot

Price: $1–$2
Also part of our Egyptian CS2 skins guide, Mummy’s Rot will make your Tec-9 look as if it’s wrapped in old bandages, which are covered with Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and symbols. Curses, mummies, and ancient tombs are on the lighter side of horror, for sure, but this one’s still interesting enough to make our list.
Open cases with Tec-9 | Mummy’s Rot
USP-S | Jawbreaker

Price: $9–$31
Jawbreaker has a style similar to the Hyper Beast skin series, with vibrant colors and an… irritated… beast made up mostly of teeth. In this case, the beast in question is identifiable as a dog, not least because the graffiti on the silencer says, “good doggy”.

Assault Rifles: Horror CS2 Skins
There are tons of horror skins to choose from for assault rifles. Here are our top picks:
AK-47 | Nightwish

Price: $5–$90
Now this is a different kind of scary. With a psychedelic black-light effect, disorienting neon colors, and a demented deer skull as the centerpiece, Nightwish brings terrifying hallucinations to mind. Have you noticed how the dreamcatchers end with disembodied hands? Yeah.
To find out more about the meaning of each detail in this design, check out the description provided by its author, Nextgenz. And if you’re not into the psychedelic look of Nightwish or you’re looking for a cheaper option, consider AK-47 | Phantom Disruptor ($3–$12).
Open cases with AK-47 | Nightwish
M4A4 | Tooth Fairy

Price: $2–$9
Ah, the Tooth Fairy. A supernatural being of unknown origin, breaking and entering into homes to collect your children’s teeth. That’s… not terrifying at all, is it? I’ve always considered the idea weird and creepy, and apparently, so has the creator of this skin because their rendition of the Tooth Fairy is pretty disturbing.
From the demon-like figure of the “Fairy” to the teeth lining parts of the rifle, everything about this design is unsettling, making it one of the best horror skins in CS2 by far. The writing on the magazine reads “queen”, “don’t sleep!”, “she knows”, and “she’s watching”. Eeek.
Open cases with M4A4 | Tooth Fairy
M4A1-S | Night Terror

Price: $0.40–$2
This was a tough choice between Hyper Beast, Nightmare, and Night Terror, with the latter ultimately winning by a narrow margin due to being the creepiest. That said, the other two skins are also awesome and worth checking out:

Back to Night Terror. It features the theme of insomnia, with chaotic red scribbles all over the rifle and a haunted, sallow face as the background. The semi-transparent magazine is a nice touch, and it looks surprisingly realistic. An all-round great horror skin.
Open cases with M4A1-S | Night Terror
AUG | Plague

Price: $0.50–$2
Plague combines a dark, rusted-metal background covered in patterns that appear to be made from silver or steel. The 3D effect is rather impressive, and the patterns themselves include a disembodied, long-fingered hand, a death’s head moth with a skull, floral motifs, and other elements that come together to form a dark, creepy whole.
FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement

Price: $1–$8
Okay, this one’s really creepy. Not in a “there’s a monster painted on it so it’s a horror skin” type of way, more like “oh sweet lord, don’t look at it in the eyes”. And there are many, many eyes to avoid making contact with here.
Open cases with FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement
Galil AR | Cerberus

Price: $15–$90
Speaking of monsters painted on rifles, here’s a Cerberus on a Galil in a more “conventional” horror CS2 skin. Against the toxic-green background, the three teeth-filled heads of the mythical hound guarding the underworld are clearly visible. The radiation hazard symbols are kind of confusing here, but I suppose they’re supposed to add to the toxic vibe of the color scheme.
Open cases with Galil AR | Cerberus
SG 553 | Colony IV

Price: $6–$48
Colony VI depicts a skeletal ant-like creature with zero explanation, so I guess you’ll have to write your own scary backstory for this one. Is it an alien creature? Is it something that mutated due to radiation? Are we on another planet? You tell me.
Oh, and you can always count on empty-eyed gas masks to boost the horror factor of any scene, eh?
Open cases with SG 553 | Colony IV
Sniper Rifles: Horror CS2 Skins
Pick off your enemies from the shadows, one by one, with these horror-themed sniper rifle skins:
AWP | Containment Breach

Price: $53–$634
Another tough choice here, with three strong contenders. We’re going with Containment Breach for its cool concept and unusual color scheme, but for your horror loadout, you could also consider choosing Hyper Beast or, for a cheaper option, Worm God:

Open cases with AWP | Containment Breach
G3SG1 | The Executioner

Price: $1–$11
The Executioner is the only viable G3SG1 choice for this list, even though in some ways, it’s closer to the post-apocalyptic style than to classic horror. Still, we have bones, skulls, teeth, blood-red splashes, and rugged vibe that suit our theme well enough. The skin will make your rifle look like it’s been painted by murderous savages in a survival horror game.
Open cases with G3SG1 | The Executioner
SSG 08 | Blood in the Water

Price: $51–$83
Anybody here afraid of sharks? Apparently, around half of Americans are terrified of them, although in reality, we’re extremely unlikely to meet our end between a shark’s teeth. Even if you don’t personally have that fear, though, it’s easy to see why sharks and horror can go hand-in… well, fin.
Open cases with SSG 08 | Blood in the Water
SCAR-20 | Outbreak

Price: $0.10–$0.50
We’re back with the theme of toxic/radioactive/contagious outbreaks with this one. It’s not the most overtly horror-themed skin, for sure, but there’s something creepy about these jagged, irregular lines, especially with that rather ominous shade of green.
Open cases with SCAR-20 | Outbreak
SMGs: Horror CS2 Skins
Rule the battlefield with your horror-themed SMG:
MAC-10 | Curse

Price: $9–$18
Time for a more light-hearted take on horror with Curse, which shows a cartoon-style mummy with its brain exposed. (And with dental issues, but the brain thing seems like a more pressing matter.) Cool addition to any horror- or Halloween-themed loadout that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Open cases with MAC-10 | Curse
MP5-SD | Lab Rats

Price: $0.20
Available only in the Souvenir version, Lab Rats started out rather expensive, but prices dropped eventually as interest in the skin gradually dwindled. These days, you can easily buy it for well under a dollar.
The exact look of this rat-filled skin depends on the pattern number. The most popular patterns are ones that feature a red rat in a prominent place on the gun, such as pattern 514 pictured above.
Open cases with MP5-SD | Lab Rats
MP7 | Abyssal Apparition

Price: $1–$9
Not sure what you’re looking at? Apart from having very Halloween-themed colors, Abyssal Apparition (originally named Fear) shows “abandoned souls falling into a pit of nightmares”. That’s according to the skin’s creator, Niran. Whether you see that or something else entirely (personally I find the design reminiscent of a huge animal skull with weird antlers), it’s definitely a creepy skin that works well with our loadout.
Open cases with MP7 | Abyssal Apparition
MP9 | Goo

Price: $0.50–$2
The gray base of this MP9 skin has been obscured by a black, tar-like substance. It’s not overtly horror, sure, but it has a dark, sinister atmosphere that fits in well with other horror-themed skins.
PP-Bizon | Fuel Rod

Price: $0.60–$3
Radioactive ammo, anyone? In this design, the Bizon’s magazine has been painted to resemble a tank holding some seriously dangerous-looking liquid. This shade of green always spells trouble, doesn’t it?
Open cases with PP-Bizon | Fuel Rod
P90 | Virus

Price: $1.70–$4
It’s on the cheesy side, sure, but honestly, I find this to be the single creepiest CS2 skin out there. There’s just something about those zombies’ eyes… Ugh.
If you want to look at other options, P90 has two other cool-looking horror skins, including one with a completely different color scheme:

UMP-45 | Exposure

Price: $0.50–$1.50
There aren’t any horror-themed skins for the UMP-45… but if you really want it in your loadout, you could go with Exposure. Showing the SMG’s “skeleton”, complete with ribs and other bone structures, this design has the right color scheme and vibe for a horror inventory, even though it takes things in a more light-hearted, Halloween-ish direction.
Open cases with UMP-45 | Exposure
Shotguns: Horror CS2 Skins
Close the distance and blow’em up with these horror-themed shotguns:
MAG-7 | Core Breach

Price: $0.60–$5.50
There’s not much to choose from in terms of horror skins for MAG-7, so here’s our best horror-adjacent option. Core Breach features a pattern of nuclear hazard symbols and a color palette that can only be described as… ominous.
Open cases with MAG-7 | Core Breach
Nova | Hyper Beast

Price: $14–$45
No surprises here—Hyper Beast is by far the best horror-themed choice for your Nova. You know the drill with this skin series: vibrant colors, lots of teeth, awesome design.
Open cases with Nova | Hyper Beast
Sawed-Off | Spirit Board

Price: $0.07–$0.20
If you’re in a pinch for a player or two to join your match, Spirit Board could be the solution! With a design based on the Ouija board, it looks like a portable ghost-summoning device. By the way, did you know that the Ouija board was originally a board game, trademarked by the toy manufacturer Hasbro?
Open cases with Sawed-Off | Spirit Board
XM1014 | Bone Machine

Price: $5–$10
Not the most original skin out there, but that’s all we have, horror-wise, for the XM1014, so it’ll have to do. The skin features the nuclear-symbol skulls we’ve seen in so many other Valve designs, like the Nuclear Garden skins or AWP | Acheron, for instance. Still, if it’s horror you need, skulls almost always do the job well enough.
Open cases with XM1014 | Bone Machine
Machine Guns: Horror CS2 Skins
On the off-chance that a machine gun is a regular part of your loadout (or you’re just a loadout completionist who needs to have a matching skin for every weapon, including those they don’t use), here are some horror-esque options for the M249 and Negev:
M249 | Magma

Price: $1.50
While there are no M249 skins with a clear horror theme, Magma will suit our needs pretty well thanks to its corroded look and dark feel.
Negev | Terrain

Price: $0.50
This one won’t form the centerpiece of your horror loadout, that’s for sure, but it compliments our theme well enough, with a dark color palette and an unusual camo pattern.
Open cases with Negev | Terrain
Knife and Gloves: Horror CS2 Skins
Alright, that’s all the firearms done! Time to complete your loadout with a set of gloves and knife… Provided that your budget is ready for these (or you get lucky on Key-Drop!):
Huntsman Knife | Rust Coat

Price: $150
Just about every CS2 knife type with the Rust Coat skin will work well for a horror loadout, but we picked the Huntsman for its rugged, aggressive look. And hey, at around $100, it’s one of the cheapest knives in CS2!
Open cases with Huntsman Knife | Rust Coat
Bloodhound Gloves | Charred

Price: $140–$400
If you were a horror movie character wearing these gloves, you can be sure you’d be the hunter, not the hunted. As an added bonus, these aren’t too expensive (as far as gloves in CS2 go, anyway)—you can get them in Field-Tested condition on third-party markets for around $120.
Open cases with Bloodhound Gloves | Charred
Moto Gloves | Blood Pressure

Price: $130–$1600
If money’s no object, these are the gloves to go for, with a red, textured pattern that resembles veins.
